Team George

From left: Brenna Thompson of Cheyenne, WY; Skyler Hellmuth of Indianola, NE; and Brittnie Wedel of Omaha, NE.
As the result of your generous contributions to the Team George Scholarship fund, the Justice Studies Department was able to assist three students who are participating in the 2015 Justice Studies London Study Abroad Program.  I have no doubt that these very deserving ladies will be wonderful ambassadors of CSC and Team George.

I'm always happy to pause and reflect on the Team George Scholarships as it reminds us all of the scholarship's namesake, Dr. George D. Watson, Jr.  George recognized the short and long-term benefits of study abroad long before it became popular on many college campuses - this comes as no surprise as he was quite the visionary.

A continued debt of gratitude to Jennifer (Amen) Tomka and Nikki (Rein) Masek, CSC graduates, who knew George well enough to know he would want us to find a way to help students study abroad.  Your tireless work is appreciated by not only the Justice Studies Department but also the growing numbers of students who have benefited from Team George Scholarships.
